Mono Laser Toners Sunshine Coast

Some information if you are about to buy a printer.

If you are looking at buying a mono or otherwise called a black and white laser printer, (common mistake...they don't have white ink!!) they are excellent value, especially if you print mostly black and little or no colour. They have come down in price but keep in mind you get what you pay for!! There are some models which have the drum built into the cartridge, they usually have a small yield and there are models which have a toner cartridge and a drum unit. Even though you need to purchase a drum every 4-5 toner cartridges, the toners are often cheaper and have much more pages of print per cartridge. It should also be remembered that if you buy a more expensive printer you will usually have larger cartridges, these cartridges represent much better value than some of the cheap ones.

Some printer manufacturers have taken to updating the firmware on your printer to stop you using compatible toner cartridges. There are some law suits happening in the U.S. as it is considered an invasion of privacy, but till it is sorted we advise you not to allow automatic updates to your printer. Our advice at the moment is to stick with Brother, Samsung or HP machines if you are looking at purchasing a laser printer.
